Tortures grew heavy in the second reading

State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Tuesday adopted in the second reading amendments to the Criminal Code (CC) about toughening of responsibility for the tortures applied to prisoners. The document will allow to judge for the similar crimes committed for coercion to evidence, not only investigators, but also the employees Federal Penitentiary Service. The communist Alexey Kurinny suggested to make identical punishment for tortures and violence, and also for officials and "activists" from among the prisoners acting on the indication of the administration.
