21.06.2022 the International group of scientists which part experts from MIPT were, OIVT RAN and FI Russian Academy of Sciences, developed new approach to receiving superintensive sources of neutrons and gamma radiations. The powerful laser (with intensity of radiation ~ 10 19 W/cm 2) interacts with a target from the lightest polymeric foam, forming a short-pulse source of tens of billions neutrons and trillion gamma quanta. The received gamma radiation more intensively, than at accelerators of particles the area in some football fields. Such source can be used in many areas of researches — from astrophysics...
