Lithuania refused electric power import from Russian Federation

Latvia declared the Ministry of Energy the termination of purchases to the electric power at Russian Federation, the decision came into force since May 22. According to the decision of the operator of the exchange of the electric power of Nord Pool, trade put of Russian Federation the electric power, in which Inter RAO Lietuva was engaged (the affiliated company PUBLIC JOINT-STOCK COMPANY "INTER RAO"), is stopped, notes the ministry. Lithuania will satisfy needs for the electric power with help own productions and import from EU through Latvia, Poland and Sweden.
