Light branching in a soap film was sensitive to coherence

The Israeli physics investigated branching of light beams in soap films. They showed that degree of spatial coherence of light has essential impact on this process. At its disappearance, however, branching does not disappear that testifies to the difficult mechanism of its formation. Research is published in Physical Review X.
