In Saint Petersburg the open Championship Russian Federation on winter swimming "the Cup of Big Neva-2022" took place. On competitions there arrived more than three hundred participants from Saint Petersburg, Moscow and 38 regions Russian Federation, and also Belarus, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Latvia, France, Switzerland, Netherlands and North Korea. They competed in swimming in ice water freestyle, a breast stroke and butterfly stroke in nine disciplines of winter swimming at distances from 25 to 200 meters.
