In Beijing started competitions in the program XXIV of Winter Olympic Games

On Friday, February 4, in Beijing (China) there will take place the opening ceremony of XXIV Winter Olympic Games. China became the first country which city is the capital of the summer and Winter Olympic Games - in 2008 in Beijing there took place XXIX 2020 Summer Olympics. And the first Winter Olympic Games to Asia passed exactly half a century back in 1972 to Japanese Sapporo. Then 1 006 athletes took part in Games from 35 countries. In Beijing speech of athletes from 91 countries is planned. To Japan there passed also the Winter Olympic Games-1998 which was accepted by Nagano.
