The American metallurgical corporation Nucor declared acquisition for $400 million a controlling stake of the rolling enterprise California Steel Industries (CSI). This sum includes 50% of actions which belonged earlier to the Brazilian corporation Vale, and 1% of actions from a share of Japanese JFE Steel which becomes from the equal partner the minority shareholder with a 49% share. The California Steel Industries plant located in Fontana in the south of American State of California, was constructed in 1942.
