TVO and Hitachi will construct on the third block of the nuclear power plant "Olkiluoto" the largest in Europe storage Energy stores 90 MWt

One of the largest in Europe storage systems of storage of energy will be constructed by Hitachi on Olkiluoto nuclear power plant to Finland according to contract, signed Industrial Power COR "Teollisuuden Voima Oyj" and Hitachi ABB Power Grids. The 90 MWt system will work as the reserve power supply for ensuring stability of a power network of the country in case of unplanned shutdown of the third block of this nuclear power plant with the EPR-1600 reactor EPR-1600 which passes now commissioning process.
