The head "National joint-stock company "Naftogaz Ukraine"" doubted extension of contracts about gas transit with Russian Federation

Chapter of National joint-stock company "Naftogaz Ukraine" Youri Vitrenko declared that expects the termination of transit of the Russian gas through the Ukrainian territory after 2024. In his opinion, Russian Federation will not begin to continue gas transit after the expiration of existing contracts. He also declared that Russian Federation "uses gas as the geopolitical weapon against Ukraine and all region". According to him, Ukraine has to become the member of NATO to compensate threat of safety which poses "Nord Stream 2".
