Sukhumi. July 5, 2021. Apsnypress. On July 4 heavy rain fell upon Abkhazia and a gale-force wind. The wind tumbled down trees, columns and power lines, demolished some roofs from houses, including a roof of hotels "Inter-Sukhumi" in the capital, the high-voltage line of 110 kV of "Shesheleti-1" was damaged. Many areas remained without electricity and water supply. City services, "Chernomorenergo", the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the military personnel of the Ministry of Defence took part in elimination of consequences of elements. All services started works still yesterday and first of all cleared away sites of roads where movement was blocked...
