Slovenian basketball players were for the first time selected by fiba.basketball to the Olympic Games, having beaten thanks to a tripl-double Luca Donchich team Lithuania. In the final of qualification of the Olympic Games basketball players combined Slovenia won a victory over a national team Lithuania – 96:85. The meeting took place on "Zhalgiris to the Arena" in Kaunas. Winners the most productive had Luca Donchich, the issued tripl-double from 31 points, 13 transfers and 11 selections.
