The prime minister Nepal Khadga Prasad Oli could not receive a majority of votes in the vote which has taken place today on a vote of confidence in the lower house of parliament. It means that the government headed by it becomes transitional. The speaker of the House of Representatives Agni Prasad Sapkota declared today results of vote on a vote of confidence according to which the 124th votes were given against Khadga Prasad Oli, 93 voted for it while 15 refrained.
