Scientists explained mass death of the woods near Norilsk

Scientists from Russian Federation, United Kingdom, Germany, United States of America and Switzerland finished research of year rings of trees in Russian Arctic. As it became clear, around Norilsk the woods faced catastrophic consequences of industrial pollution. The corresponding research is presented in the Ecology Letters magazine. So, with help computer modeling scientists processed all complex of parameters of natural system around Norilsk: width of year rings and their chemical composition at the live and lost trees, and also characteristics of soils.
