Methanol in Europe fell in price to a 11-year minimum

Quotations of spot parties of methanol in Northwest Europe (SZE) decreased on May 15 to 140 — 141€/t (fob Rotterdam) concerning 144 — 148€/t (fob Rotterdam) — week before. In the previous time of the price of methyl alcohol in SZE reached 140€/t (fob Rotterdam) in June, 2009. Since the beginning of year methanol in Europe fell in price for 35% because of flash of Koronavirus in the world. Demand for methanol remains weak, and stocks in storages of Rotterdam are high that puts pressure upon the prices and forces suppliers to reduce release products.
