According to him, in Saratov Region while the situation with quantity of garbage only is aggravated.
"the Volume of educations garbage increases in the region. In 2013 874 thousand tons of solid municipal waste were formed. For 2017 1,074 million tons of waste were formed. That is on 200 thousand tons approximately increase. This indicator will increase further. It is a lot of waste of so-called not decomposed fractions, these are various plastic bags and so on", - the head of Ministry for Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources reported.
According to him, one of the main problems in this sphere are unauthorized dumps. Last year in the territory of the region they were counted by about 500.
"They settle down on the area more than 20 hectares. From them 130 it is liquidated, work is continued. Unfortunately, often after clarification these dumps again become soiled", - Sokolov Dimitri shared. The minister noted that already it is impossible to postpone a question of export and civilized waste recycling. "How I always speak, you do not want that your children played on dumps? Then it is necessary to bring an order", - Sokolov Dimitri noticed.
