in vehicle fleet of the Rhine and Westphalian technical university in Aachen, Germany

Such an automatic parking will be in the future: you open a door, leave the car, get the smartphone and by means of the appendix give to the car a signal to go on a parking. This system will be started in Aachen until the end of the year. This parking is constructed by company Immofinanz in 2018, and the system will be started in Aachen until the end of the year, it will be equipped with automatic system of a parking and to take place in the university territory. The parking will be equipped with the corresponding equipment Bosch. Bosch and local car maker e.GO already signed the cooperation agreement. Bosch will be engaged in infrastructure of a parking and in cooperation with e.GO integrates the converted cars into system of an automatic parking.

At the first stage the automatic parking will be able to support 12 electric cars e.GO Life that is part of the main vehicle fleet of companies, these cars are provided to the staff of companies for business trips therefore can be used for demonstration of the automated system of a parking. At the second stage Bosch and e.GO intend to optimize use of parking places in garage by means of system of an automatic parking.

"The manual parking consigned

to the past. Technology Bosch allows to use much less parking lot, to save time of drivers and to help them to avoid excitement" , – Dr. Dirk Hokhayzel, the member tells boards of directors Bosch Group. "Parking garages – an ideal place for compact universal city cars, such as e.GO Life. The automated parking allows us to reach still the bigger – namely, to place 50% more vehicles in garage. For use of this technologies for e.GO Life clients pay slightly more, than for a usual parking", – professor Shukh Gunther, director general tells e.GO Mobile AG.

the Vehicle will be under control a "clever" parking

the Automated parking of cars becomes an important milestone on a way to pilotless driving. It is one of services, entering a portfolio of new division of Bosch: "Decisions for mobility". Here is how it works: drivers simply leave the car at an entrance to garage. Using the appendix for smartphones, they give the car command to lay a way to an empty parking space. As drivers give command to leave garage and to take away them in a certain point. Drivers do not need to trace this process; they can leave garage even if their car still parks. It is possible thanks to systems controls Bosch. The Bosch sensors installed on a parking watch a situation on the carriageway and in garage compartments and provide to system all information necessary for management. Systems in the car accept these signals and carry out necessary maneuvers, and also in due time stop the vehicle in the presence of obstacles or at appearance of people. For ensuring reliable operation of equipment of an automatic parking already at the initial stage of Bosch and e.GO want to involve in cooperation the German center of certification of TÜV and local authorities.

Technologies an automatic parking Mercedes-Benz

already successfully uses Bosch

already the second time e.GO on introduction of an automatic parking cooperates with company. "Mercedes-Benz" became the first partner who has supported this decision. On Mercedes-Benz Museum parking in Stuttgart Bosch and Mercedes-Benzs already realized idea of a pilotless parking, having submitted the project of the general public in the summer of 2017. First of all, companies want to investigate convenience of a pilotless parking, and also as far as drivers like this idea. For this purpose two companies start so-called "test tour" which will conduct within the next several weeks. During excursion of the interested clients on their trip on the pilotless car in Mercedes-Benz Museum the expert will accompany, explaining technology and answering questions of users.
