Rare Red Book bird recorded in Lotoshino district

Small podorlika which is the most rare bird of prey, was found by ecologists in Lotoshino district, nestings of a bird are taken under special protection, the press service of Ministry ecology and environmental management Moscow region reports.

"Experts of nature protection fund "Verkhovye" during monitorings the woods Lotoshino district found some unknown populations of rare plants and animals, and dwelling earlier studied in this district is confirmed. Now small podorlik it is included in the Red List Russian Federation and in the Red List Moscow Region. On shape it reminds a medium-sized eagle in a big way wings in 1,5 meters and is one of the biggest birds of the region.

As they say in the message, small podorlika that usually during the season survives is the reason of a rarity and only one baby bird takes off from a nest.
