Lapchik Anna noted that in May of this year records on the lowest daytime temperature of air on 30 of 35 meteorological stations in the region were broken. Daytime temperature in the coldest days of May made from a minus 1 to plus of 6 degrees.

"Besides feature of this May were almost daily plentiful precipitation in the form of a rain and snow which as a whole in a month created the sum of a precipitation 1,5−3 times higher than norm. The most plentiful precipitation dropped out to Novosibirsk Region. Besides May was very windy" — she told.

the Weather forecaster noted that all anomalies are caused by steady northwest intake of air masses on the South of Western Siberia. As a whole, according to her, May usually passes in Siberia at alternation of cold Arctic air masses and warm masses from Asia. "Usually in May we faced frequent intake of the southern air from areas Kazakhstan. This year there was uncharacteristic that "northern" process practically did not interrupt. At shift to Novosibirsk Region cold cyclones brought such weather" — she told.
