Ministry Republic Latvia defenses waits from Russian Federation for explanations on a situation with educational start-up of rockets

Latvia waits from Russian Federation for explanations because Moscow allegedly already reserved time for carrying out educational rocket start-up in the Latvian exclusive economic zone in the Baltic Sea twice, however they did not take place. The Minister of Defence declared Latvia Raymonds Bergmanis on air of the Latvian television.

that the air space over the Baltic Sea is intensively used for aircraft service, and therefore predictability of similar doctrines is an important factor from the point of view of safety in air.

"We want to receive from Russian Federation information why already for the second time the declared doctrines did not take place. I have no data, maybe, it occurred for technical reasons. I while have no explanations why we observed nothing in the closed sectors" — he declared.

Before the Ministry of Defence of the republic reported that the Russian Main center of uniform system of the organization of air traffic informed the Latvian agency of civil aviation that the Navy Russian Federation reserved air space from April 17 to April 19 and on April 19 plans to carry out training firing practice.
