In the first day of official visit Russians met the chairman and deputies of parliamentary association of the Japanese-Russian friendship, with the chairman of committee of the House of Representatives Japan concerning environment Matsusima M. and the ambassador Russian Federation to Japan Mikhail Galuzin.
- We discussed questions of inter-parliamentary interaction and possibility of cooperation at implementation of joint projects, - Vladimir Afonsky shared impressions of the first day of official visit. - Environmental issues and ecological education of younger generation were a separate subject at a meeting. We discussed features of processing of waste, legislative providing and mechanisms of implementation of projects on separate collecting garbage. According to madam Matsusima, to Japan about 95% of waste are processed. For Japan such eco-friendly approach became almost national idea. It is very good experience and that is important for us, colleagues are ready to impart experience and cooperate with regions of our country in this question, - Vladimir Afonsky told.
