Development fund creative industries and cultural tourism together with the Karelian art residence began implementation of the project "The Karelian art residence – youth Petrozavodsk: coauthorship in dialogue of cultures". The project is supported by Administration of the Petrozavodsk city district within the program "Open dialogue: development institutes of civil society and harmonization of the international relations in the territory of the Petrozavodsk city district" for 2016-2018

the Initiative is directed to

on collaboration of professional foreign artists and youth Petrozavodsk. Among project events – a series of educational and educational actions (lectures, master classes) with new formats of communication between the artist and youth (art mediation, art walk), the representatives of different cultures directed on coauthorship, and also acquaintance of participants to the newest directions of the modern art (a videoart, the documentary photo, a bioart, performance), creation of works on these directions. Classes with youth are given by artists, guests of the Karelian art residence: Abendrot Valeria (Germany), Natascia van Netten (Canada), Lyudmila Ketslakh (United States of America), Vaynio Hannah (Finland), Radanovich Maia (United States of America).

the First series of actions for youth took place, they were carried out by Abendrot Valeria, the March guest of the Karelian art residence. Abendrot Valeria – the German artist of the Russian origin. it brought video installation to Petrozavodsk

B Petrozavodsk Abendrot Valeria continued the research together with local youth. The artist invited for collaboration of residents of Petrozavodsk aged from 14 years till 21 year. Girls got experience with the artist, got acquainted with a videoart "from within", and Abendrot Valeria removed gigabytes of a photo, video and audioinformation to receive answers to questions: What does "the Russian girl" enter definition? What it? What makes its beauty?

Shootings took place in different locations – in library, theater, the museum, at stadium, streets Petrozavodsk. The German artist tried to reveal and record the general and unique in each interlocutor.
