Big orthodox local history readings "Ferrapontov Monastery: history pages", devoted to the 620 anniversary of Virgin Rozhdestvensky Ferapontovo of a monastery, will pass on March 22 in the Vologda regional universal scientific library.
In action which will begin at 16.00, will take part the prior of Lazarevskoye of the temple the archpriest Sorokin Aleksy; artist-restorer of the Vologda memorial estate, chairman of the Vologda office All-russian public organization "Soyuz Restavratorov Russia" Sokolova Olga; teacher of the Vologda teacher training college Kirilova Helena and others.
Participants of readings will tellabout the founder of Ferapontovo of a monastery - Saint Belozersky Ferapont; about the pupil Saint Belozersky Kirill, abbot of Ferapontovo and Troitse-Sergiyeva of monasteries Belozersky Martinian; about the just Vologda priest Badanin Alexander; about the last prior of the Leushinsky St. John the Baptist Monastery Agniya (Blagoveshchensk). Also at conference problems of preservation of objects of a cultural heritage Vologda region will be lifted.
On action editions from funds of the Babushkinsky library, the devoted stories of Ferapontovo of a monastery will be submitted to.
