São Tomé, 17 January/Xinhua / - the Minister of Foreign Affairs China Wang And and the Foreign Minister of São Tomé and Príncipe Urbino Botelyyu on Tuesday in common met journalists, having acquainted them with results of visit Wang And to this country.
Wang Also declared that the prime minister of São Tomé and Príncipe Patrice Emery Trovoada paid official visit to China past year during which the parties unanimously decided to establish the comprehensive relations of cooperation and partnership. The chairman China Xi Jinping suggested to turn the relations between China and São Tomé and Príncipe into a model of cooperation between the big and small countries, and also through cooperation the South-South, having set the direction and the development purpose the bilateral relations. The purpose of its present visit consists in discussion from São Tomé and Príncipe a question of joint efforts for advance in the direction specified by heads of two countries. Heads of São Tomé and Príncipe repeatedly confirmed intention firmly to adhere to policy of one China and to develop with it long-term, stable friendly cooperation. China intends to protect in the international affairs the fair rights and interests of São Tomé and Príncipe, wants to be the most reliable and best partner in cooperation for São Tomé and Príncipe in the course of diversifications of economy this country.
Wang And three key expressions described the shifts reached within one year after restoration of diplomatic relations between two countries.

Both parties have huge potential possibilities of cooperation in the field of fishery, manufacturing industry, agriculture, tourism and services, before them favorable prospects of cooperation in such spheres open.
Thirdly, two parties "move shoulder to shoulder". After restoration of diplomatic relations of São Tomé and Príncipe became the official member of the Forum on the Chinese-African cooperation and the Forum of trade and economic cooperation China and the Portuguese-speaking countries. São Tomé and Príncipe can use these two platforms, together with other African states to open for itself new dynamics and to open new resources in cooperation. Heads of São Tomé and Príncipe accurately expressed support and determination to participate in construction "Belts and ways", besides, Africa, including São Tomé and Príncipe, have to be part of process of realization of an initiative "A belt and a way" together with China. Heads of São Tomé and Príncipe also declared readiness to participate in the Forum summit on the Chinese-African cooperation which will take place in September of this year in Beijing. Thus São Tomé and Príncipe will be present for the first time at Forum meetings on the Chinese-African cooperation.
