São Tomé, 17 January/Xinhua / - the President of São Tomé and Príncipe Evarishta Carvalho and the prime minister of the country Patrice Emery Trovoada on Tuesday China Wang Karvalyu I. E. expressed confidence that restoration of diplomatic relations with China - the most correct decision made by Government Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe. The president declared that his country firmly and unshakably adheres to policy of one China. He hoped for continuous development and strengthening of the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation.
Patrice Emery Trovoada declared that development China the friendly relations from São Tomé and Príncipe proved again that Beijing steadily adheres to the principle of equality of the large and small states. Having called China the sincere friend and the reliable partner of Africa, the prime minister emphasized that his country admires wisdom and abilities of the chairman China Xi Jinping in the field of public administration, highly appreciated a role and responsibility of the Chinese diplomacy in the world. Offered China the project on counteraction to global challenges will have positive and far-reaching impact on world development, he noted, having added that São Tomé and Príncipe will steadily adhere to policy of one China, hopes for deepening of cooperation about China and will show to the world that cooperation with China will bring the country to a way of steady developments.
Wang And, in turn, declared that São Tomé and Príncipe restored diplomatic relations with China and returned to a big family of the Chinese-African friendship and cooperation. The minister called this decision the right strategic choice corresponding to radical and long-term interests of the state and the people of São Tomé and Príncipe. According to him, in a year after restoration of diplomatic relations two countries developed exchanges and cooperation in different areas and received the first results. Wang Also hoped that São Tomé and Príncipe and other African countries will go forward "shoulder to shoulder" and in common to advance the Chinese-African mutually beneficial cooperation.
