His authors studied life of children in digital space, advantages of new technologies, and also dangers which they in themselves conceal. They came to a conclusion that Internet platforms are not adapted for needs of children, and, meanwhile, every third user of the Network - the child.
"Internet was developed for adults, but children and young people use it more and more. Digital technologies increasingly influence their life and the future. In this regard at further development of the digital world it is necessary to consider needs of children, their representation and opinion", - the Executive director of UNICEF Anthony Leyk declared.
Today every third user Internet – the child. More and more children carry out on Internet huge part of the time. They there study, play and communicate. In the report all advantages of digital technologies for children, including from poor communities or those who suffered as a result of humanitarian emergencies are described. But still access to the Network for many remains to
unattainable luxury. Today from the World wide web a third of children around the world is cut off is 346 million. In Africa access to Internet is not present at three of five children, and in Europe – only at one of 25. Besides 56 percent of all content on Internet - in English.

Authors of the report warn that Internet opens access to personal information. New technologies simplify creation and distribution of the materials connected with operation of children and violations of them. Many children become victims of mockeries on Internet. Emergence of mobile phones complicates parental control behind behavior of children on Internet.
Such digital networks as "a dark web" and Cryptocurrency are used as channels of the worst forms of operation of children and teenagers, including trades by them.
At least, nine of 10 Internet domains specializing on sexual abuse, are in five countries: in Canada, France, Netherlands, Russian Federation and United States of America.
the Executive director of UNICEF emphasized that digital technologies are now, undoubtedly, an irreversible factor of our life and in this regard on the agenda today - two main tasks: to achieve mitigation of their negative aspects and at the same time to give to all children opportunity fully to take advantages Internet.
