In February of this year Russian Federation visited with official visit the President Uruguay Tabare Ramon Vaskes Rosas. Among other results of this summit there was an Agreement signing between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs about cooperation in the field of archives. Today, did not pass also several months as we already observe concrete result of our cooperation on implementation of this intergovernmental document. I mean an archival exhibition, dated for the 160 anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries.
These relations are based on traditions of friendship, mutual respect, trust. Documents which here are submitted, confirm what exactly our countries were guided by these principles from the middle of the XIX century. Would like to allocate such documents, as the diploma of the Emperor Alexander II and President of East Republic Uruguay Gabriel Antonio Pereira about establishment of friendly communications and letters of the Uruguayan envoy E.Frugoni addressed to Stalin I. V., the head of the USSR, about transfer in 1944 in Fund of Defense of the USSR of six thousand rubles in solidarity in fight against fascism.
Today our countries support versatile, saturated dialogue both in a bilateral format, and through the international organizations. I mean not only the relations Russian Federation with the Latin American integration associations which include Uruguay, but also our interaction in the last two years in UN Security Council. The next meeting of the Intergovernmental commission on trade and economic, investment and scientific and technical cooperation is planned for next year. It is sure that it will give a new impulse to our communications and in the economy sphere.
the Fine sign of feelings of mutual sympathy uniting our people is the history of the Russian-speaking city San Javier. In this city the most part of the population natives or descendants of natives from Russian Federation. Today we have opportunity to examine unique notes of 1914 how this Russian colony lived and continues to live.
byIt is convinced that further rapprochement of our countries and the people, contacts between people will be promoted coming in June-July, 2018 to Russian Federation by "FIFA World Cup" in which 8 Latin American countries will participate, and Uruguay it was in one group with Russian Federation. And all of us will wait for interesting game in Samara in the second half of June.
