Six foreign companies look for rare metals in the territory Kazakhstan

Financial investments will be directed on implementation of 39 projects directed on search and investigation of fields of strategic metals: copper, gold, rare and rare-earth metals, lead, zinc, chrome." For example, the transnational company "Rio Tinto" for 2015-2017 invested 3,3 billion tenge according to two projects (the general budget on geological exploration of 7 billion tenge). The Australian company "Iluka Rersources" in the current year performed drilling operations to Kostanay Region with use of technologies dry drilling of "Air core" of 9 000 running meters, 300 wells. Object of searches are loose titano-zirconium fields. Two perspective areas in Kostanaysky and North Kazakhstan areas for continuation of detailed investigation are chosen. Since the beginning of realization 700 million tenges" are invested, – Nurzhanov Galym told. The German fund "Ulmus Fund" will finance investigation of copper ores on Besshokinskaya Square to Karaganda Region, the project sum – 600 million tenges. As the speaker reported, for the first time in 2017 in the country began prospecting works Joint-stock company "Polimetall" (Russian Federation) and "Ghadir Industry" (Iran). By order Joint-stock company "Polimetall" are executed aero geophysical researches on Shekar's site to Kostanay Region of 1 200 square meters, perspective on detection of industrial deposits of gold-silver and copper ores. In 2018 it is planned to attract 5 billion tenge of private investments, including projects of Kaztsink LLP, Kazakhmys Corporation LLP, Joint-stock company "Polimetall". For this purpose the authorities concluded cooperation agreements with the Turkish companies "Yıldızlar SSS Holding" and "Lidya Madencilik". The volume of investments in these projects will make over 50 million dollarov.23 February the chairman of NPP Atameken Timur Kulibaev declared that is concerned by a condition of geology in the country.
