Now, like tags on packs of cigarettes that smoking kills, any picture taken for commercial purposes, at any processing has to be accompanied by "Photographie retouchée" inscription ("The retouched photo").

That who will break the law, are threatened by a penalty – 37 500 euros or 30% of cost of creation of the advertizing.

"When young people constantly see

allegedly standard, and actually unrealistic images of a human body, it leads to negative perception itself and to an inferiority complex that, in turn, can provoke the habits bearing harm to health", – the Minister of Health France Marisol Touraine commented on the new law.

France is not the pioneer in application of such radical measures concerning photos. Similar approach to model pictures already exists in Israel.

Kuinn Tom, the representative of the British charitable organization Beat directed on the help at frustration of food behavior, says that this law can become a right step on a way to society improvement.

"Many who constantly looks at the distorted images of a human body, suffer from a low self-assessment. We support any measures directed on more healthy relation of society how the body looks. And steps in the direction of creation of society in which neither on models, nor pressure will not be put upon people as a whole they grew thin, it is possible to welcome only", – Kuinn Tom reports.

For quite some time now the models working in the French agencies, have to provide the reference from the doctor that they are completely healthy. Many companies at all forbade to sign contract with too thin models.

Should noting that after the publication of the new law the Getty photoagency forbade use of the retouched photos that shows support of policy of the state by leading representatives model businesses.
