On Saturday, September 17, to Irkutsk region there took place a large-scale ecological action "For the pure future of Lake Baikal" during which volunteers collected more than 3 tons of garbage on the coastline in Slyudyanka. The plastic collected during cleaning was sent for processing. The means which have been paid back from it in kind, will be enclosed in improvement of park zones of Slyudyansky municipal .
"For the Pure Future of Lake Baikal" Project is realized by Coca-Cola Russian Federation for nine years and is the part of global strategy of a sustainable development directed on preservation of water resources of the country.
"Pleases that every year a large number of not indifferent people participates in our action, we are supported by local authorities, and also representatives of business community who are ready to redeem from us collected plastic for further processing. In only some hours of an action 3,2 tons of garbage, from which 700 kg – plastic were collected. The means received from its processing, will be directed on improvement of park zones in Slyudyanka", - Mokina Marina, the regional manager of the direction of external and internal communications of Coca-Cola HBC Russian Federation across the Urals, Siberia and Far East reported.

Within an action representatives of Coca-Cola System also handed over to
administrations of Slyudyansky municipal a special sorbent for water purification from oil and oil pollution. This innovative means in the form of napkins from polypropylene will allow to clear water of Lake Baikal of spots of the small area quickly. "This action showed
