Beijing, 25 July/Xinhua / - the Chairman China Xi Jinping and the representative of the queen United Kingdom on Cook Islands Tom John Marsters on Tuesday exchanged congratulatory telegrams on the occasion of the 20 anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries.
Xi Jinping in the telegram noted that for 20 years after establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cook Islands the interstate political mutual trust went deep, technical and economic cooperation bore noticeable fruits, and humanitarian exchanges every day became closer. China is ready to apply the general with Cook Islands efforts for strengthening of bilateral cooperation in all spheres and a conclusion of strategic partnership to new level.
Tom John Marsters in the congratulatory telegram declared that in 20 years after establishment of diplomatic relations in development of bilateral ties fruitful results were reached. Cook Islands are grateful to China for the long-term help in social and economic development of the country and are ready to advance continuous development of interstate communications on the basis of mutual respect.
