Massovyye the disorders, burning cars, violence and plunder of shops began around Rinkebyu of (the suburb Stockholm — an editor's note) after the police arrested the person. It is awful — but, unfortunately, not for the first time. In some hours prior to the beginning of disorders owners began to close the shops in the center of Rinkebyu. Earlier Tensta's businessmen and Husbyu sounded the alarm, reporting that cannot keep shops open any more. Extortionate raids, destructions, thefts, threats and blackmail: the frightening picture looks already even too specifically.
But still nobody listened to these disturbing signals. Repeatedly firefights carried away someone's lives. And last week inhabitants of the area Yerva learned that the stationary police station in Rinkebyu will appear at best not earlier than 2019 though it promised to construct by 2017. Work already several times postponed.
We cannot simply watch p how mature representatives of organized crime hire young people to make the "mules" transporting drugs, or performers of other crimes in exchange for "protection" or other premushchestvo. And we cannot look at how set fire to cars in Rinkebyu just like that. If now everything comes so far that businessmen survive from the area — means, society conceded the earth of crime which intends to keep locals in hostages, freely conducting the criminal activity.
When the "red-green-pink" majority developed the plan of local development, they did not guess at all to make the main priority a safety issue in Rinkebyu. Instead they decided to be engaged in any abstract purposes like "increase of the social capital" and "activization of participation of the area in city life".
And when the leading politician Stockholm Carine Vanngord (Karin Wanngård, Social Democratic Party) should bring together representatives of the authorities, businessmen, police, owners of real estate and other interested persons together to create the plan as to correct all this, it it was not simple on a place. The politician bearing the greatest responsibility for development Stockholm, should not avoid collision with crime problems.
I constantly hear stories left that poverty becomes the reason of disorders. Many people on suburbs have big economic and social problems. The narrowness and poverty — reality for many, and these questions we, politicians, have to solve. But poverty — it not a justification to attack with the weapon the neighbors. It does not grant the right to trash a store window and to plunder foreign shop. Our indulgent relation to crimes will not help the young man who solves, whether not to join parallel criminal society.
I want to address to Carine Vanngord: begin dialogue with businessmen, owners of real estate and police officers in Yerva. Create the general plan on crime neutralization. Temporary police stations too need to be created in Yerva as soon as possible — even if it is necessary to use the equipment from reserves Stockholm and any suitable rooms. If the state does not cope with the responsibility on hiring of enough of police officers, you have to put forward to the government the offer on additional financing of similar services. And those millions which in the "red-green-pink" budget are allocated for "a measure for democracy strengthening", can and have to be used for strengthening of protective perimeter and elimination of road outcomes and foot bridges from which throw stones at disorders.
not to exercise the power for fight against a crime — means to betray those who sees how their freedom is stolen by criminals. Any woman and any man should not live in fear in own area, and nobody has to be compelled to close the shop because of threats, robberies and other crimes.
It is a question of the right of each person for freedom and safety. Also it is a question of to giving to descent to criminals who consider Stockholm as the personal backyard.
