On Friday, January 13, the thought of the Latvian Green party rejected the offer on an exception of ranks of this political organization now the former mayor of Jurmala Gatis Truksnis . For that he remained party member, 20 of her representatives whereas for his exception — 17, reports LETA voted.
In the same day after Truksnis's statement for leaving from a position of the mayor of Jurmala the head of self-government chose his deputy Sproge Rit ( by SZK ). Truksnis will continue work as the deputy. In the statement for mass media he notes that a post of the chairman of the Jürmala thought held since 2010. The last months were for it very intense and affected a state of health therefore he intends to restore forces and energy before starting on municipal elections as the candidate in mayors.
Truksnis is a suspect on the case of illegal financing of parties. On October 13, 2016 it was displaced from a position, but is again approved on it later.
