The Belarusian grand master Zhigalko Sergei won ChE bronze on fast chess

22 December, Minsk / BELTA/Correspondent. The Belarusian chess player Zhigalko Sergei became the bronze prize-winner of the championship Europe on the fast chess, passing in Tallinn, the correspondent reports Belarusian cable agency "Belta".

Following the results of competitions in the category "blitz" following the results of 26 plaid games the Belarusian international grand master gathered 19,5 points. Zhigalko Sergei conceded only to the champion of the continent to the Russian Andreykin Dimitri, at which 22 points, and to the Azerbaijani chess player Mamedova Raufa, lagged behind the winner on 0,5 points. One more Belarusian chess player Kazakovsky Valery gathered 17 points and took the 4th place, at Cherepov Aleksey 15,5 points and the 97th position, Ulasevich Sergei gathered 14,5 points, having appeared on the 146th place. In the nomination "slow motion" Zhigalko Sergei closed ten the strongest, Kazakovsky Valery finished the 27th. The champion Europe in this type of the program became the Russian chess player Ryazantsev Alexander.

After the continental championship Zhigalko Sergei takes the 74th place in a classical rating of World Chess Federation, the 28th in slow motion and the 47th in a blitz.

Chess year will come to the end with a world championship on slow motion and a blitz which will pass from December 25 to December 31 Qatar Doha. Belarus will present Zhigalko Sergei, Aleksandrov Aleksey and Pogosyan Manvel. In total in tournament 120 chess players more than from 40 countries of a planet will act.
