Direktor schools Lin Lofstad Andersen (Line Lofstad Andersen) says that never forbade Christmas, but only asked parents to find other word more promoting integration.
"I am disturbed very much that visible local and national politicians in a uniform rush express what they did not understand. Anybody on this matter did not contact me. And it was rather simple to call. All this is one big misunderstanding" — the principal in conversation with Dagbladet speaks.
She emphasizes that though Christmas — the difficult holiday for some few children at school (not immigrants, and children who represent those branches of Christianity which do not celebrate Christmas), at them all the same is both a fir-tree, and Christmas Carols, and a Christmas mass.
