during a briefing Ministry Lesnoye district economy Republic of Tatarstan reminded that the republic is considered the low-forest region: woodiness makes only 17,6 percent. On areas woodiness is uneven and hesitates from 3 (Drozhzhanovsky) to 41 (Nurlatsky) of percent. As of January 1, 2016 the total area of forest fund Republic of Tatarstan makes 1 million 271 thousand hectares. It turns out that only 0,36 hectares of the woods are the share of each Tatarstaner.

"The purposes of an action are not only reproduction and enhancement of forest resources of the republic, but also education at citizens of careful attitude to the wood, society drawing attention to problems of its preservation, improvement of an ecological situation and habitat of inhabitants", – Nazirov A. emphasized.
According to him, having analysed results of actions of last years, it is possible to tell that Day of landing of the wood increases every year volumes of the put material and number of participants. So, for example, in 2011 about 30 thousand participated in an action. the person, thus the number of the planted trees passed for 2 million pieces, and in the 2015th participants of the action there were more than 63 thousand people on all republic, the landed 2,4 million trees on 778 hectares.
