Our athletes continue to fight for the right to act in Rio
The FIRST vice-president and the chairman of executive committee of Paralympic committee Russian Federation (PKR) Rozhkov Pawel reported yesterday that already more than one hundred our athletes with limited opportunities submitted individual appeals to the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) about the admission on Summer Paralympic Games 2016 to Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) which will pass from September 7 to September 18.
At the same time PKR takes all possible steps to change a situation with stay of membership of the organization in MPK which automatically involves not admission of our athletes on official international Paralympic competitions, including Games-2016 to Rio, winter Games-2018 in Pyeongchang (South Korea) and so on to a complete recovery of PKR in the rights. On the eve of PKR made the open letter in the address FEDERAL STATE-FINANCED INSTITUTION "TSSP" (TsSP).
In the open letter of PKR, in particular, it is spoken: "In the report of the independent commission Agency under the leadership of Maklaren Richard are specified (WADA) concrete surnames of workers Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation, TsSP and FEDERAL STATE-FINANCED INSTITUTION ADTS which were allegedly involved in disappearance and substitution of doping tests to Russian Federation … Consider as the extremely important whenever possible quicker to react to charges in the address "TsSP of National Teams Russian Federation" that will clear up the proclaimed reason of a suspension of membership of PKR in MPK and by that will open possibility of participation of our athletes in the upcoming Paralympic Games". The similar letter is sent and to FEDERAL STATE-FINANCED INSTITUTION ADTS.
If to speak about those who submitted personal applications for participation in Paralympic Games, it is a question only of representatives of individual sports. In command game disciplines already it is necessary to reconcile to nonparticipation Russian Federation. Our permits are already transferred in soccer 5kh5, soccer 7kh7, the female golbol, sedentary volleyball to other countries, the schedule of tournaments in Rio is changed. Here 54 athletes totally had to represent Russian Federation. Let's remind, the right to act to Brazil received in total our 267 Paralympians.
Well for now paper fight on all fronts proceeds. PKR waits from MPK a reply to the request concerning an accurate explanation of criteria of restoration of membership, Switzerland concerning our appeal on the decision of the International sports court waits for a verdict of the Supreme civil Court (Sports arbitral tribunal) to uphold PKR disqualification. Athletes waiting for information from MPK concerning their individual addresses.
