Today Municipal court of Moscow sentenced students Dmitry Medvedev and Novikov Yvan, found guilty in murder of the ex-adviser of the speaker Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Baron Leonid , to 14 and 15 years of imprisonment respectively. They will serve sentence in a colony of a high security. Also Municipal court of Moscow collected in favor of mother of the killed Baron Anna about Novikov Yvan 3 million rubles, and about Dmitry Medvedev — 2 million.

Preliminary inquiry established that the accused killed Baron Leonid for the purpose of a robbery. According to investigation, the student Novikov Yvan which girl lived in the neighbourhood with Baron Leonid became the organizer of murder. Novikov Yvan was accepted in the house Baron Leonid since carried out for a small payment of its assignment. Having coveted rich furniture of the apartment, Novikov Yvan decided it to rob, and under the guise of the buyer of the Audi car which Baron Leonid intended to sell, brought to Baron Leonid the accomplice - Dmitry Medvedev. In the middle of the purchase discussion, one of the accused snatched out beforehand acquired gun "Baikal" and demanded at Baron Leonid to give them all money. Baron Leonid showed resistance, but the criminal shot to it three times at a breast. Then, criminals stole documents on the car and 2 thousand euros, and disappeared. On August 10 Dmitry Medvedev, one of accused on this case, gave confession in court.
