In hayfsky district court the measure of punishment 44-year-old Iman Handzho, the spouse of the imam of one of mosques of the Israeli Arab city of Shfaram is announced. Earlier she was found guilty of establishment of contacts with the enemy agent and of attempt to get on the territory of the hostile state.
Within a compromise with a consequence and in connection with frank recognition and repentance of the defendant, and also lack of the terrorist and criminal past point of charge of attempt to adjoin the terrorist organization was removed from her.
Iman Handzho detained on August 28 the past year at the international airport of Ben Gurion. To Israel it was deported after arrest in Turkey in attempt to cross the Turkish-Syrian border.
On interrogation in Israel she reported that did not intend to participate in operations on the party "Islamic state", but, being the doctor of Islamic sciences, wanted to address fighters with a series of lectures.
At removal of a measure of punishment the court also considered that the defendant is mother of five children.
As a result the judge Sharon-Natanel sentenced Handzho to 22 months of imprisonment and a penalty of 30 thousand shekels.
