The prosecutor's office of the Kumensky area revealed five Internet sites on which advertizing of the neodymium magnets, capable to stop or slow down operation of counters of water, gas and electricity was published. And on sites the detailed instruction was published how to fix magnets to metering devices, and also service in selection of magnets to concrete models of counters was offered.
In supervisory authority considered that specified information induces to commission of illegal actions, for example, "administrative" petty theft, and even at all criminal "causings property damage by deception or breach of confidence", and violates the rights of conscientious payers of utilities in this connection, is unfair advertizing. And distribution of information for which criminal or administrative liability is provided, is forbidden by the present legislation.
The prosecutor's office submitted the application to Kumensky district court with the requirement to recognize information containing advertizing and the offer of purchase of magnets, capable to stop or make unauthorized intervention in operation of metering devices of water, gas and electricity, and published on the Internet on 5 websites, forbidden to distribution in the territory of the Russian Federation. Statements of the prosecutor are satisfied. Judgments entered validity.
