On April 16 and 17, 2016 in Saint Petersburg on the basis of GSDYuShOR "Comet" in Zagrebsky Boulevard, 28, the IV All-Russian sports competitions in TAEKWONDO (VTF) "A cup on prizes of the president of the St. Petersburg sports federation of TAEKWONDO Momot Demid Aleksandrovich 2016" took place. Tournament was organized by Committee on physical culture and sport Saint Petersburg, Saint Petersburg State independent institution "Center podgotovki" and POO"SAINT PETERSBURG SPORTIVNAYA FEDERATSIYA TKHEKVONDO" with information support of newspaper "Sankt-Peterburgskie vedomosti".
Tournament which is one of the largest in Russian Federation and unique from the point of view of age of athletes, brought together more than 800 participants from 31 regions Russian Federation and from Belarus. It was carried out by rules of Taekwondo (VTF), traditionally on competitions the highly professional judicial crew was attracted, and the fine organization of competitive process once again made a sports holiday of a sporting event.
Competitions opened: Momot Demid Aleksandrovich - the president of POO"SAINT PETERSBURG SPORTIVNAYA FEDERATSIYA TKHEKVONDO", Lifshits Vladimir - the member of executive committee of the Union of Taekwondo Russian Federation, the honored trainer Russian Federation, is given the 7th, Karpov Maxime Alekseevich - the member of executive committee of the Union of Taekwondo Russian Federation, the member of the committee on youth of the World Federation of Taekwondo (WTF) and Ushakova Irina - the director of sports school of the Olympic reserve "Comet".
Audience could see spectacular demonstration performances of demonstration team POO"SAINT PETERSBURG SPORTIVNAYA FEDERATSIYA TKHEKVONDO" under the leadership of the senior trainer Khvan Mikhail and teams of master-instuktorov of the St. Petersburg federation of Hapkido which president is Ozhgikhin Pawel .
In two days 80 sets of medals on 320 prize-winning places in personal offset were awarded. Except personal offset the results on a team competition among participants of competitions also were summed up: the first place and owners of the Cup in a team competition the national team Saint Petersburg was entitled, the second place was taken by a national team Chelyabinsk, the national team got the third place Moscow. Tournament is recognized especially significant for training of young Russian athletes and for formation of the Olympic reserve of our country.
