Experts from Oncological institute Rosvell Park (Roswell Park Cancer Institute) are concerned that results of many scientific experiments in which laboratory mice are used, can be incorrect. It is connected with that, Bonnie Haylender (Bonnie Hylande) that optimum temperature for mice – 30-32 degrees Celsius explains. However in the majority of laboratories of animals contain at lower temperatures.

That most often experiments are made at a temperature of 20-26 degrees, can negatively affect results of researches. The matter is that the temperature mode influences a metabolism of animals, and also reaction of their organism to tested medicine or a studied disease.

In 2013 authors published article which results testify that at more high temperatures of a mouse cope with a cancer better, and tumors grow less often metastaziruyut more slowly.

Authors recommend to specify temperature of the maintenance of animals in scientific works, including this indicator important. It is quite probable that carrying out experiments at optimum temperatures for rodents, will allow to receive other results which, probably, will be more useful to people.

Mice like it warm, scientists from the Roswell Park Cancer Institute point out. Yet most labs keep them at a temperature more comfortable for human researchers.
