Xi Jinping accepted a key from Prague

Prague, 29 March/Xinhua / - the Chinese President Xi Jinping in the second half of day local time met today the mayor of Prague Adriana Crnachova who on behalf of Prague presented to it a key from the city.

Xi Jinping noted that receiving by him as a key gift from Prague embodied deep friendly feelings of the Czech people and inhabitants of Prague concerning China. Prague is the well-known city in the history of Europe, it is the first-ever city which was completely recognized object of the world cultural heritage. He noted that this key will cause in it fine memories of Prague.

Xi Jinping emphasized that between Prague and Beijing there is a close exchange. It expressed confidence that due to strengthening of cooperation between the capitals of two countries still big breaks in cooperation of China and the Czech Republic at local level surely will be reached. The association of governors of provinces and the regions of China and the countries of the Central and Eastern Europe already took place in the Czech Republic. He hoped that Prague uses the advantages, and also involves a role of a platform of this Association for expansion of channels of communication and spheres of cooperation with China to make a new contribution to friendship and a sotrudichestvo of China and the Czech Republic.

A. Krnachova reported that cooperation of the Czech Republic and China at local level quickly develops, the important contribution to development of the interstate relations is made. It expressed pleasure on the fact that Xi Jinping during visit to the Czech Republic became the witness of establishment of twinning between Prague and Beijing.
