The parliament of Bulgaria refused idea of renewal of South Stream

Deputies of parliament of Bulgaria rejected the offer of opposition party "Attack" on renewal of work on South Stream gas pipeline construction.

of All 109 parliamentarians took part in vote, 27 from which supported the initiative of opposition party, 17 expressed against, 65 refrained, transfers RIA Novosti news agency with reference to Novinite.

<= "http://php.vz.ru/images/1.gif" width = "2" height = "2" alt = ""/> the Leader of the party "Attack" Volen Siderov urged Bulgaria to be more active and to offer img src to Russia to resume South Stream construction. According to him, there are reasons to believe that Moscow yet completely froze this project, and a geopolitical situation which developed from the moment of a construction stop, favors to Bulgaria.

He noted that renewal of the project will employ tens Bulgarian companies and becomes positive incentive of development of economy.

In the middle of January the Bulgarian mass media reported that work on the South Stream project in the next some weeks will be restored . According to the newspaper "Standart", "signal podobnogo roda iz Rossii poluchil bolgarsky premier-ministr Boyko Borisov".

However on the same day in the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation declared that the status of the project of the South Stream gas pipeline remains the same - works on it are stopped . The council of ministers of Bulgaria also could not confirm the message of mass media on negotiations between Russia and Bulgaria on renewal of the project of the South Stream gas pipeline.

The Russian President's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov also disproved messages of mass media on readiness of Moscow to resume negotiations with Sofia on the South Stream gas pipeline construction project.

Russia in December, 2014 because of not constructive position of EU declared refusal from South Stream worth 15,5 billion euros which had to pass through the territory of Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary. The project was calculated on delivery to Europe of 67 billion cubic meters of gas in a year.

The president Vladimir Putin during a big press conference in December, 2015 declared that Russia is surprised a toothless position of the Bulgarian management on South Stream which contradicts interests of Sofia.

Then the prime minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov declared that to stop implementation of the project of the South Stream gas pipeline the European Commission demanded from Sofia.
