"Gazprom" will buy LNG from Cameroon

"Gazprom" in the person of Gazprom Marketing and Trading Singapore Pte Ltd (Gazprom M%26T) signed the contract for eight years about repayment of all liquefied gas (1,2 million tons per year) which will make floating LNG plant (FLNG) Hilli at coast of Cameroon.

Gazprom M%26T, the British-French company Perenco, the British Golar LNG, and also Cameroonian state company Societe Nationale des Hydrocarbures du Cameroun (SNH) participate In the project.

the Gas field belongs to SNH and Perenco, as the operator of the project on liquefaction of gas Golar which equips the vessel Hilli on shipyard in Singapore will act. Hilli used as the LNG tanker, after reorganization the vessel will turn into floating gas liquefaction plant, reports "Interfax".

FLNG can begin work at coast of Cameroon in the II quarter 2017, the first supply of LNG expects in the second half of the year 2017

In the near future in Africa will carry out two similar projects. It is a question of the Fortuna project of the operator of Ophir at coast of Equatorial Guinea (2,2 million tons of LNG a year) and Coral plant belonging by the Italian Eni on a shelf of Mozambique (2,5 million tons of LNG a year).
the Cost of LNG is attached by br to the Brent oil price with coefficient of 11,25%, that is LNG will cost to buyers $7-8 for 1 million British thermal units (BTU) proceeding from the price of Brent at the level of $56,8 for barrel.
