Activists organized an action in support of Shaker Amer — the last resident of Great Britain in the American prison Guantanamo. They arranged 24-hour hunger strike with the purpose to achieve immediate release of the prisoner who more than 13 years are in custody. The head of the movement "Together with Shaker" Joanne Makinnes in interview of RT told that activists are concerned by ill treatment of supervisors not only of Amer, but also of all prisoners of Guantanamo. Shaker Amer was born in Saudi Arabia, his wife and four children live in London. In 2001 when Shaker was engaged in volunteer activity in the charitable organization in Afghanistan, local fighters kidnapped him, and then sold to the American military.
