The Prosecutor General's Office of Guatemala issued the resolution on arrest of the incumbent president of the country Otto Perez Molina suspected of creation of an extensive corruption network.
Perez Molina is suspected by b that headed the large-scale corruption scheme which was revealed in activity of customs authorities. According to the statement of the representative of prosecutor's office Julia Barrera, "the warrant on arrest concerning the president is issued" by the judge Miguel Ángel Galves, transfers RIA Novosti news agency .
On suspicion in participation in the organization of this scheme on August 21 the former vice-president Roxana Baldetti also was detained, transfers TASS .

In Guatemala passed many thousands protest actions with the requirement of resignation of the president. At the request of opposition party concerning Molina investigation was begun. The 64-year-old president denies the fault.
Carrying out general election is planned for September 6 in the country.
