On December 11, international students of KIU became holders of such titles as laureates and diploma at the Republican festival "Day of the International Student".
The International Student's Day Festival is an annual major event in which international students of KIU regularly take part and take prizes. This year, the university was adequately represented by the creative team “Folklor Colombiano” (Colombia), Lopez Perez Anderson Andres (Colombia), Amirhamza Akhmadov (Tajikistan). International students of KIU successfully passed the qualifying stage among all universities of Kazan and performed brilliantly in the final at a gala concert. In total, more than 200 students from 11 countries participated in the event organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Youth Assembly of the Peoples of Tatarstan. Lopez Perez Anderson Andres presented not only his vocal talent, but also his vivid guitar playing and was awarded the title of diploma of the first degree. The creative team “Folklor Colombiano”, which received the title of laureates of the III degree, has been participating in the festival for several years.
This year they presented the national Latin American dance with new interesting movements that delighted the audience and the jury.
Amirhamza Akhmadov showed a high level of creativity by singing a song of the famous singer Eminem in Russian and Tajik languages. The jury highly appreciated his performance, awarding him the title of II degree laureate.
More than 20 thousand students from abroad study in the Republic of Tatarstan and this festival is aimed at involving international students in the cultural and creative life of our Republic, faster and more successful socialization in modern Russian society.
