Why the service in police will not be considered any more as aggravating circumstance

One of key elements of reform Ministries of Internal Affairs is cancelled, Dmitry Medvedev the Parliament adopted the law prescribing an exception of number of circumstances aggravating punishment commission of a deliberate crime by the employee of the law-enforcement bodies (LEB). According to it changes in Art. 63 of the criminal code of Russian Federation (the circumstances aggravating punishment) are made. Four deputies of State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation from Communist Party of the Russian Federation became authors of amendments. In the explanatory note it is said that after inclusion of the fact of service in Department of Internal Affairs in the list of aggravating circumstances "the actual discrimination" the staff of these bodies was allowed...
