Gold de Goll Sharl – myths and the facts

On May 6 in Volgograd at the initiative of local administration the bust de Goll Sharl (1890–1970) is solemnly established. This general in the years of World War II headed the French parts which were at war on the party of the anti-Hitlerite coalition. In 1944–1946 and 1958-1969 it was chapter France and was considered as the politician who has been in a friendly way adjusted in relation to the USSR. It also formed the basis to immortalize its image in the territory of the memorial estate "Battle of Stalingrad" near Stalin, Churchill, Roosevelt's sculptures.
