The huge iceberg of the size of Region of Greater London broke away from Brant's shelf in Antarctica, the British Antarctic service (BAS) reported. The event occurred in the evening on January 22 when the crack known as for Chasm-1, completely passed through an ice shelf. It remained stable within several decades of supervision, however in recent years started dispersing. Because of it in 2016 of BAS decided to remove on 23 km the British research station Halley which was nearby. Scientists do not connect an event with climatic changes and consider as rather natural behavior...
